On 11 March 2019 in Bangkok, representatives of the organizing committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers held an official meeting with Manit Boonprasert, Director of the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand, which operates under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Discussions centered around Thailand’s potential engagement in the forum and the opportunities for deeper educational cooperation.
Key topics included the potential for Thai teachers to access forum resources remotely and participate in online professional development. Ms. Boonprasert expressed strong interest in using the forum to enhance teacher qualification standards across the country and emphasized the value of international collaboration in education.
The parties agreed to begin preparatory work to ensure participation of Thai institutions in the forum’s activities. Ms. Boonprasert confirmed her support and committed to circulating an official recommendation on behalf of the association to its member and partner institutions throughout the Kingdom of Thailand.
