A meeting took place in Paris between Evgeny Baranovsky, Chair of the Organizing Committee of the International Pedagogical Forum of the World’s Best Teachers, and Ms Victoire Deine Kohou, Counsellor at the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to UNESCO.
The parties discussed the progress of preparations for the Global Forum of the World’s Best Teachers and noted the positive momentum in the development of their partnership.
The delegation of Côte d’Ivoire expressed its readiness to take an active part in the event.
The meeting also addressed the possibility of the participation of Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of Education, Ms Kandia Camara, in the Forum’s opening ceremony.
Representatives of Côte d’Ivoire proposed considering the possibility of hosting one of the Forum’s future thematic sessions in their country. The proposal was received with interest but will require further discussion, as the structure of the events planned for 2027 has already been determined.
The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in the field of education across the African continent.
