On March 21, 2019, representatives of the organizing committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers met with Dr. Unifah Rosyidi, President of the Indonesian Teachers’ Association.
Founded in 1912, the Association today unites approximately three million members and operates as a well-structured organization with representation at all levels — from national to district and municipal. Throughout its history, the Association has remained completely independent, not affiliated with government institutions, political entities, or other structures.
Despite this independence, the Association has built strong and constructive cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the President, and the Prime Minister of Indonesia, all of whom actively support the resolution of key issues faced by the teaching community.
Dr. Rosyidi expressed strong interest in the World Forum of the Best Teachers, noting that the forum’s values and principles are closely aligned with the ethical and moral vision of the Indonesian Teachers’ Association.
As a result of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue cooperation in the framework of the forum’s preparation and implementation, and to work jointly toward the advancement of global education.
