Shaping the Future of Education at an International Platform in Indonesia

Education as a means to overcome inequality became one of the key themes at the Polish Festival in Jakarta, held in March 2019. Representatives of the organizing committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers took part in the event, which was supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Indonesia and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. During a session focused on innovative technologies, the forum’s delegation presented their international educational initiative, highlighting the importance of global cooperation and sustainable development in education.

Several strategic meetings were held during the festival, including discussions with Beata Stoczynska, Ambassador of Poland to Indonesia; Hendy Setiono, CEO of BabaRafi; and Sachin Gopalan, CEO of Orbit Ventura, a company advancing innovation in the education sector. The talks addressed challenges faced by Indonesia’s education system, particularly the inequality between urban schools in Jakarta and institutions in remote island provinces. The concept of the upcoming global forum, aimed at uniting outstanding teachers from around the world, attracted strong interest from participants. Mr. Gopalan expressed his support for the initiative and agreed to hold a follow-up meeting with the organizing committee to explore potential avenues for cooperation.
