Advanced technology, a multicultural environment, and international standards define the educational landscape of Heriot-Watt’s Malaysian campus in Putrajaya. It was here, on 14 March 2019, that Professor Mushtak Al-Atabi, a recognized leader in global engineering education, welcomed members of the organizing committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers. Their conversation focused on the shared mission of elevating the teaching profession and building global academic partnerships. Professor Al-Atabi expressed keen interest in the forum’s vision, offering to introduce the initiative to teacher communities and universities across Malaysia, particularly those with education faculties and training programs. He also committed to presenting the proposal for institutional cooperation with the forum at the university-wide principals’ council. The meeting marked an important step in aligning international efforts to strengthen the future of education.
