In Barcelona, a meeting was held between representatives of the organizing committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers and Mr. Xavier Massó Aguadé, coordinator of the Catalan Secondary School Teachers’ Union (Sindicat de Professors de Secundària). The meeting took place on 15 February 2019.
Mr. Massó provided an overview of the Spanish education system and shared the union’s experience in working with the government of Catalonia. He expressed support for the forum and his willingness to assist in selecting outstanding secondary school teachers from the region to participate.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation, including in shaping the thematic agenda of the forum in ways relevant to contemporary school education.
