On 6 February 2019, representatives of the Organising Committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers held an official meeting at the Ministry of Education of Bosnia and Herzegovina with Ms. Denana Gološ, professional advisor for primary education, and Mr. Alden Kajtaz, State Secretary to the Minister.
The meeting focused on key challenges facing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s education system — particularly the disparities in educational standards and practices between cantons — and on the potential of the Global Forum to help address these challenges and improve the overall quality of education in the country.
Special attention was given to the opportunities the forum offers in terms of:
sharing best international practices,
supporting teacher education faculties and pedagogical universities,
and strengthening a unified educational approach in a decentralized system.
Ministry officials expressed their readiness to support the Organising Committee in establishing cooperation with pedagogical universities and faculties of education throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Organising Committee values the Ministry’s openness to international dialogue and looks forward to the country’s meaningful participation in the Global Forum.
