On 4 February 2019, Alexander Priyutov, representative of the Organising Committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers, held an official meeting with Dr. Yanka Takeva, President of the Bulgarian Union of Teachers (SEB).

Ms. Iveta Nedeva, Head of the President’s Office.
The Bulgarian Union of Teachers is the country’s largest professional organisation in the field of education, representing more than 89,000 Bulgarian teachers.
Dr. Takeva emphasised that one of the Union’s key priorities is the preservation and advancement of international cooperation among educators in an era of globalisation. According to her, the World Forum of the Best Teachers will significantly strengthen these ties by making cross-border exchange of educational experience more accessible, effective, and meaningful.
The Union confirmed its readiness to support the Organising Committee in the selection of Bulgaria’s top 10 teachers and to cover travel expenses for those educators to attend the forum’s host cities.
Both sides also agreed to participate jointly in a series of conferences on education quality assessment, which are scheduled to take place across several Balkan countries.
The Organising Committee expresses its sincere appreciation to the Bulgarian Union of Teachers for its professional commitment and active engagement in advancing global educational collaboration.
