On 1 February 2019, Evgeny Baranovsky, Chair of the Organising Committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers, visited the University of Bucharest, where he held a meeting with Professor Romita Lucu, Vice-Rector of the university, and Professor Anca Nedelcu, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Psychology.
During the meeting, university representatives presented the structure of teacher education in Romania, discussed academic approaches to the professional development of future educators, and expressed their readiness to assist the Organising Committee in establishing connections with pedagogical universities and education faculties across the country.
Evgeny Baranovsky invited the University of Bucharest to collaborate with the Organising Committee — both through participation in the forum’s main events and by encouraging faculty members and teachers to publish academic articles in the official proceedings of the Global Forum.
Both sides confirmed their shared interest in strengthening academic exchange and ensuring active involvement of Romania’s university sector in the global dialogue on the future of education.
