On 31 January 2019 in Belgrade, Evgeny Baranovsky, Chair of the Organising Committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers, met with Mr. Zeđak, Director of the Sixth Belgrade Gymnasium and a member of the European Association of Teachers.
The meeting took place on the grounds of the school, where the participants discussed the current state of school education in Serbia, the learning environment, and the working conditions of teachers. Mr. Zeđak guided a tour of the school and shared insights into the educational process in Serbian institutions.
Particular attention was given to the opportunities offered by the World Forum of the Best Teachers for international collaboration, professional exchange, and dialogue among educators from different countries.
Mr. Zeđak expressed enthusiastic support for the initiative and proposed that the European Association of Teachers, which operates in 26 countries and is headquartered in Paris, be encouraged to actively engage with the forum and recommend participation to teachers from all member countries.
The Organising Committee expresses its sincere appreciation for the initiative and looks forward to strengthening cooperation with the European Association of Teachers — one of the key professional networks across the continent.
