On 29 January 2019 in Bratislava, Evgeny Baranovsky, Chair of the Organising Committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers, held an official meeting with representatives of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS).
The meeting was attended by:
Professor Dr. Ľuba Lacinová, Member of the Presidium of the Slovak Academy of Sciences,
Professor Dr. Karol Nemoga, Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Chair of the Slovak Association of the Club of Rome.
The discussion focused on cooperation between the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Organising Committee of the Forum, particularly in regard to engaging teachers from Slovakia, and facilitating dialogue with the Government and Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic.
The Academy expressed its support for the initiative and willingness to assist in selecting delegates and building partnerships with national educational institutions.
Additionally, the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the European Institute for Educational Development — the official organiser of the forum — agreed to jointly organise international mathematics conferences and to develop professional development programmes for mathematics teachers.
The Organising Committee values this collaboration and welcomes Slovakia’s active participation in shaping the global education agenda, particularly in the field of mathematics and teacher training.
