On 28 January 2019, during the start of his European tour, Evgeny Baranovsky, Chair of the Organising Committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers, visited the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, where he held an official meeting with Mr. Ladislav Banovec, Director of the Department of International Relations.
The meeting focused on building cooperation between the Organising Committee and the Government of the Czech Republic, as well as with national teacher associations, regarding the country’s participation in the forum and the invitation of the best Czech educators.
The following representatives also took part in the meeting:
Ms. Klára Bezděková, Director of the Department for Adult Education and Teacher Training,
Ms. Veronika Petrová, from the Department of Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation,
Ms. Michaela Tuzilová, from the National Institute for Further Education (NIDV),
Mr. Jan Brůcha, from the National Institute for Education (NUV).
The discussion reflected a high level of interest from both the Ministry and affiliated institutions in the World Forum of the Best Teachers, recognising it as a major global event in the field of education, dedicated to international collaboration, teacher development, and inclusive, sustainable practices.
The Organising Committee values the Czech Republic’s openness and constructive engagement and looks forward to the country’s active participation in shaping the global education agenda.
