Today in Singapore, Konstantin Lazarev, representative of the Organising Committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers, met with members of the Singapore Drama Educators Association — a professional organisation that brings together educators who integrate drama-based methods into teaching, as well as teachers working in the fields of art and creative education.
The association includes some of Singapore’s most innovative educators, known for developing outstanding teaching methodologies rooted in the performing and visual arts. Members of the association’s council were formally invited to take part in the Forum and to collaborate in selecting the best teachers from Singapore to attend the event free of charge.
The Council expressed its support for the initiative and its willingness to contribute to the forum’s programme and outreach. It also shared its hope for broad institutional backing from the Ministry of Education of Singapore, with a meeting with ministry representatives scheduled for tomorrow.
