On 24 October 2018, Evgeny Baranovsky, Co-founder and Director of the UK-based non-profit company World Sustainable Development Foundation Limited, began an official visit to China. The visit was organised with the support of Mr. Mei Hancheng, First Secretary for Education Affairs at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Moscow.
The primary purpose of the visit is to participate in the National Conference “Modernity and Tradition,” which has been taking place since 20 October at Jiangsu Second Normal University in the city of Nanjing. The conference brings together leading educators, researchers, and representatives of educational institutions from across China.
The programme also includes visits to schools and participation in open lessons to facilitate the exchange of teaching methods and educational practices. On the first day of the visit, Evgeny Baranovsky attended a physics class at Nantong Tianjiabing School, where he observed classroom teaching and engaged with members of the teaching staff.
This visit is part of the ongoing preparations for the World Forum of the Best Teachers and aims to strengthen international cooperation in the field of education.
